McEnroe seeks British passion
John McEnroe vowed to reignite British tennis after presiding over his first coaching session for the Lawn Tennis Association on Monday. The three-times Wimbledon champion was at Queen's Club in London to cast his eye over the country's junior squad. McEnroe has an open-ended coaching pact with the LTA which allows him to work with performance director David Felgate when his timetable permits. "I want to put fire into those players' bellies," the 44-year-old said. The LTA is keen to use McEnroe as much as possible to inspire the next generation of promising British tennis players.
