The final county Mini Club Tour Leaderboard for winter 2008/2009 is available.
Well done to everyone who took part!
We’ve just published the county Mini Club Tour Leaderboard for March 2009.
Not just any inter-county veterans league but the mens and ladies inter-county veteran’s league!!!
Gloucestershire has entered no less than 13 teams for the 2009 national competition.
New events include: Mens 60+, Mens 75+ and a mixed Mens 65/Womens 60.
We would welcome more county-wide player support for these events. For those interested in participating in both home (usually East Glos based) and away matches - we are seeking a good standard of league/club play and the enthusiasm to support other team mates and promote our county’s interests.
The individual team captains contact details are shown below.
Team - Name - Telephone - Email
Team practices/friendlies are being held mid-March to mid-April.
Additionally if any Gloucestershire Clubs wish to develop more local veterans friendly matches - please contact me direct - jointly we may be able to develop a modest match programme.
Thank for your interest in Veterans Tennis.

We have previously published misleading information on this website regarding British Tennis Membership and Wimbledon tickets.
On a previous publication we implied that only members of affiliated clubs who had signed up to British Tennis Membership by 30th November 2008 would be eligible for Wimbledon Tickets; this is not correct.
The allocation of tickets to LTA affiliated clubs was based on the number of their club members who had signed up to British Tennis Membership by the 30th November 2008. Clubs must then complete their ballot by 1st June 2009 and all club members that are current British Tennis Adult and Junior Members (9 and over) at the time of the running of the ballot are eligible for inclusion in the Club Ballot.
We apologise for any confusion this may have caused, but please contact the Gloucestershire County Office on 01452 396644 should you need any further clarification on this matter.

President John Courts, head coach Lorraine Ristic, secretary Ruth Smith and junior chairman Nigel Barnett accepted the award from former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies at Cheltenham Race Course, where a large number of sports were represented. Lorraine Ristic was also nominated for performance coach of the year and made the final three in the section.
