Important notice about the league
The GLTA league committee decided at the last meeting (Wednesday 8th August) to extend the 2007 season by 9 days because of the exceptional weather conditions and floods recently experienced. The last day of play for league matches will thus be Sunday 9th September. Any matches played after that date will not be included in the final league tables.
You are reminded that, as per the rules, results cards should be completed and posted within 24 hours of the match in question. Also, a 2007 results summary for each team is to be forwarded to the results secretary no later than 10th September.
Matches affected for any reason connected with the severe weather and flooding, not just unfit courts, between 20th July and 3rd August (inclusive) will not be subject to any penalty points.
The committee hopes that all delayed matches can be completed and sends best wishes to all those who have been affected by flooding.
Many thanks,
Steve Martin, league secretary
